The dangers about the whole lin-craze is that we can erect Jeremy into a god.

This might sound silly, but I always have to keep my heart in check when I’m talking about J. Lin because sometimes my choice of words can end up sounding like idol-worship. It’s quite contrary to what his actual intentions are- he wants to direct our attention from him to Him. 

I do really admire what Jeremy Lin is doing with all the attention he has now. I believe that there need to be more people in the entertainment, sports, design industries who use their talents and skills to draw attention not to themselves, but to the living God who gives them these gifts. But if we start looking at the people and not God, the things that he says or does become in vain. We allow him to steal God’s glory.

Yes, I feel I needed to say this especially now that we’re sharing so many links on facebook and tumblr about him. Let’s be careful with what we say and how we say it.
